Pitaya Persimmon Pear Smoothie

pitaya persimmon pear smoothie-2

Have you ever looked into your fridge and found fruits that you have forgotten about? I certainly had that moment the other day, and found a big delicious Nashi pear. Pears are packed with nutrients and often used for soothing sore throat.

With the Nashi pear in my hand, I decided to create a 3P smoothie with a persimmon and some Pitaya Plus smoothie packs. This experiment was a success — it’s refreshing with slight creaminess from the persimmon. My little ones just kept asking for more!

For this Valentine’s, why not surprise your loved ones with this deliciously refreshing pink smoothie?

Here’s the recipe: 2 x 100g of Pitaya Plus smoothie packs, 1 Nashi pear, 1 Fuyu persimmon, 2 tablespoons of soy milk

  1. Cut the persimmon leaves, peel the skin, and slice persimmon horizontally, so that you can use a slice of persimmon for decorations as pictured.
  2. Blend together 1 pack of 100g pitaya smoothie pack, 1 tablespoon of soy milk, 1/3 of nashi pear, 1/2 of the remaining persimmon
  3. Repeat step 2 with remaining ingredients. If you want a smaller portion, you can skip this step.
  4. Pour blended smoothie into a glass
  5. Decorate the smoothie with persimmon slice and pear chunks
